Greetings from Booth #2523 at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas!

Sage Diaper at ABC Kids Expo

Our little home for the past few days- Booth #2523

In case you haven’t heard- we are at ABC Kid’s Expo in Las Vegas this week (wrapping up today).  The ABC Kids show is where both apparel and furniture manufacturers come together to display their products and showcase their individual innovation to store buyers.

Abraham and I have been working day and night for weeks getting ready for our first trade show in over 15 years.

Our adventure actually began 6 weeks ago when we decided to do the show (usually you plan to do this a year in advance) so we had a lot to accomplish in a very short amount of time. Fortunately we work with a wonderful cutting and sewing factory in Los Angeles who rushed to get us a wave of new samples in lots of colors for our new Sage Diaper line. The colors looked terrific and I can’t wait to share them with you all.

We also had to get some fresh photos of a baby wearing our new Sage diaper line. Our eldest daughter arranged a photo shoot with her dear friend whose 10 months old turned out to be the perfect model.  We get to look at a beautiful smiling photo of him, wearing our Sure Fit pocket, in our booth every day.

We packed our things and made  11 hour journey by car from Northern California to Las Vegas.  At around 1:30 am, Abraham and I were both having problems keeping our eyes open. So we opened the windows wide, starting singing old rock n roll songs at the top of our lungs, and I would scream if I felt Abraham start to veer slightly to the left or right. This seemed to work just fine–but I wouldn’t recommend it.

We arrived in Las Vegas at 2:30 AM in the morning — to an incredible traffic jam on the main boulevard. We couldn’t believe it. It took another 45 minutes to go 3 miles but we ARRIVED.

It seemed like I just closed my eyes and the alarm starting ringing to wake us up. We were off to the trade show to set up our booth. It took us 6 hours to set up- but we couldn’t believe how transformed the booth looked.

For the past few days- we have been here bonding with our little family of exhibitors  next to and across from us.  At the time of this posting, I am exhausted but excited about what’s to come!
